ABOUT
Isobel Kloth is a multi-disciplinary artist from France and Germany. Recently graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in Scenography, she holds a special interest for set design. Her scenographical practice is informed by her wide range of artistic interests, spanning from photography and illustration to animation, puppetry, and theatre. She aspires to bring these artforms together in order to create spaces, experiences and performances that unite people regardless of their differences, and leads them to learning about the world by learning about each other.
The experiences brought by her bi-cultural upbringing and international education in Costa Rica and Canada have shaped her worldview into one that prioritizes cultural exchange, listening, and compassion. Her curiosity to hear and understand the perspectives of people who had a different upbringing than her own is fueled by a search for what unites us all as humankind. She continues to seek out experiences that widen her understanding of cultures and people, continuously growing her understanding of the world. Her artistic practice has become the tool to process her learning, and share her hopes for a peaceful future.
