Expressing our genders: Experiences and Conversations, 2021
This exhibition was created as a graduating project for my International Baccalaureate’s Visual Arts course, completed at United World College Costa Rica. The creation process spanned over the time of one year and emerged from the close relationship I held with my peers, allowing for conversations and an exploration of our thoughts about gender and sexuality.
The exhibit featured 8 pieces, with mediums ranging from painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking. My curation of the space and installation developed into a “cocooned” corner in the midst of my peers exhibits, creating a safe and warm corner destined to encourage continuing the conversations I started.
